What is Evermore's reservation cancellation policy for named or unnamed major storms impacting the Central Florida area?
  • If a hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for the Orlando area with seven days of arrival, Evermore will allow penalty-free cancellations for any reservations booked directly through the Evermore Orlando Resort. Reservations booked through third parties are subject to their terms and conditions.
  • For safety and security reasons, guests in certain accommodations may be requested to move to alternate locations within the resort based upon any determined risks.
  • Any guests who are on property and uncomfortable based upon the prediction of the direct impact of a hurricane will be allowed to depart and credited for their stay as applicable.
  • Guests may extend their stay based on accommodations availability.
Is there a shelter on property?

The accommodations throughout Evermore Orlando Resort are safe to weather the storm. During the storm's impact to the resort, all guest areas will be closed and guests will be required to remain inside their accommodations.

Is there medical assistance at Evermore?

The Safety and Security team is certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED — enabling them to handle basic medial requests. Our number one priority is to keep all team members and guests safe, therefore during the storm all team members will be required to stay indoors until the storm has passed and it is safe to move about the resort.

Will utilities at the resort (power, electricity, or WiFi) be impacted during a major storm?

It is possible that power and water to Evermore's accommodations may be impacted during a major storm. However, we will work hard with local power and water companies to minimize the impact and restore services as quickly as possible. We will communicate updates of outages to all guest via the Evermore App.

We understand the importance of staying connected with loved ones during this time. Our WiFi services will remain operational as long as possible. Please remember to charge devices prior to the storm.

How should guests prepare for the storm while at Evermore?

It's important that our guest have the most up-to-date information. We encourage all guests to find additional information about hurricane preparedness in Florida from the following sources:

Before the Storm
  • The resort operations team will secure patio furniture and equipment. All guests should refrain from leaving any items outside that could be blown away or toward windows.
  • Ensure you have enough food, water, medications, and essential supplies to last several days, including a fully charged mobile phone.
  • Ensure all windows and doors are securely closed and locked.
  • Monitor weather updates and follow any advisories or warnings from local authorities.
  • Identify inner rooms or areas away from windows and exterior walls as your safe spots during the storm.

 

During the Storm
  • Move to inner rooms or bedrooms and bathrooms, stay away from windows and glass doors.
  • Avoid using elevators in case of power outages.
  • Stay calm and wait for official communication indicating it is safe to leave your accommodations.
Are the accommodations stocked with Emergency Preparedness kits?

Each accommodation comes with a flashlight in the laundry room. It is important for all guests to be prepared and secure any additional items they may need as if they were at their own home preparing for the storm including medications, baby supplies, and a first aid kit. There are grocery stores within 2 miles of the resort where guests can purchase necessary supplies.

What amenities will be open during a major storm? Will Evermore Bay be open?

For the safety of all team members and guests, all amenities will be closed during a major storm. In preparation of the storm, parts of the resort will begin closing 72 hours prior to anticipated impact.

Evermore Bay will close 12 hours prior to impact, as the bay will need to be treated with chemicals to prepare for the storm. Evermore Bay will remain closed until the storm has passed and the Evermore staff has determined it’s safe to re-open. Resort operations will use the Evermore App to communicate updates to guests during the storm.

Will the resort continue to provide food and beverage service during the storm?

As safety and security permits, food and beverage services in Twin View will be available until 12 hours before anticipated landfall and the Food Hall will be available until six hours before anticipated landfall. For the safety of both team members and guests, all food and beverage services will be suspended during the storm.

We advise stocking up on supplies as you would at home. There are grocery stores within two miles of the resort where you can purchase necessary food and supplies. Additionally, guests can visit Sandhill Provisions on the property for any last-minute items up to four hours before the storm. Resort operations will use the Evermore App to communicate updates to guests during the storm.
