URLIFE FAQs

Capturing Your Trip

Should I take photos and videos differently if I want to make a URLIFE movie?

You can take photos and videos just like you normally would. But filming video horizontally will provide a much more cinematic effect in the final movie! If you would like to try some other fun and easy new ways to capture your trip, you can download our Shot List for helpful shooting tips and tricks and shot list ideas.

Can you incorporate photos and videos from other family/group members too?

Yes! One person will be the designated contact for the group project (the Project Host). They will set up the account and be the point person for the Producer call. But we will provide them with access and easy instructions they can forward to any family or group members who want to upload their own content!  (Keeping in mind the file group limit of 1500 files total.)

Is there a suggested minimum resolution you recommend when I take photos and videos?

For videos we recommend a minimum of 1080 — but 4K or 8K (depending on how new your phone is) is best! For photos we recommend a minimum of 12 MBS (1280x720) or larger. (If you submit videos in multiple resolutions, the resolution of the final video will default to whatever is the lowest resolution of the files we receive.)

How many photos and videos should I take for my project? Is there a limit?

Our team suggests uploading a minimum of 100 files to tell the story of your trip and make sure to have all family members included. However, the upload limit is 1,500 files combined for all members of your family/group.

What type of files can I submit for making my movie?

We can work with all types of digital file formats — including photo, video, and audio files from your smartphone or other digital files such as GoPro’s and photos from digital cameras.

  • However, certain RAW file formats (such as CR2) are not compatible with our platform and may need to be sent separately, or converted to JPGs first.
  • Please note: HEIC files may produce a low resolution thumbnail in your gallery, but will still come through to us at full-resolution.

Making A Movie

How difficult is it to make a movie from my photos and videos?

We’ve made it simple and easy! The URLIFE website and iPhone App have on-screen prompts that guide you through the process, but it’s as simple as this:

  • Name your Project (ex. Smith Family Evermore Vacation 2026)
  • Upload your photos and videos
  • Share uploading instructions/access with any family/group member that would like to contribute content
  • Schedule a call to connect with your Producer to share highlights, special moments or celebrations, and preferences for things like what music you might like to include.
  • Then sit back and relax - we’ll do the rest!

What's Included

What is included in my package?
  • Designated Project Coordinator: One family member will act as the lead to handle account setup, send out upload information, and serve as the point of contact for the Producer Call.
  • Group Content Sharing: Invite friends and family to contribute! Your package includes a total of 1,500 file uploads for the entire group.
  • Personal Concierge Producer: Once your content is in, you’ll have a one-on-one call with a professional Producer. You’ll discuss the family’s favorite highlights, style preferences, and music choices.
  • Custom Scripting & Professional Editing: Your Producer will draft a custom script based on your story. Our expert editors then select the best footage and apply professional touches to create a personalized film of your Evermore stay.

Getting Started

What is a project code? Where do I find mine?

Within a few minutes of purchasing, you will receive an email from evermore-support@urlifemedia.com with a unique (one-time use) project code. The email contains easy-to-follow steps for account setup and code redemption. This will automatically save a project to your account with the credit applied, allowing you to begin whenever you are ready.

How do the other members of my family/group upload their content?

Once the Project Host sets up the account, they will receive instructions that can be shared with the group to upload their own favorite photos and videos to the project. Group members will use the same log in info that is set when creating the account.

Helpful Tips

Can I upload while at Evermore?

We strongly recommend waiting until you are at home on a private Wi-Fi network before starting to upload. Shared networks, such as hotels/resorts and airports, will likely not have enough bandwidth to support the large uploads our app requires, and you may experience slow processing or errors, which can be frustrating. (See additional uploading tips below!)

Can I upload without Wi-Fi?

Yes, but depending on your data plan, it may result in charges to your mobile account.

What works best for uploading my files?

Save time and avoid frustration with these tips for an optimized upload experience. iPhone users can use our iPhone App, and everyone else (Android and people uploading from a computer) can use our website.

Please Note: Files will likely upload out of order, but during your Producer call you will be able to discuss how you want the video organized (e.g., chronologically, grouping activities, etc.)

All Users:

  • Use a strong/secure, private Wi-Fi connection
  • Keep the app/website open to avoid interruptions and check the status box for progress completion before closing
  • Project files, notes, and any scheduled calls will not be available to our editing team until you click Submit

iPhone App Users:

  • Permission Settings: When you begin uploading, select "Allow Access to All Photos" when prompted. If you skip this step, you can enable it manually. Go to Settings > Apps > URLIFE Media > Photos and select Full Access. Please Note: URLIFE only ever accesses the photos you personally select to upload.
  • Prevent Interruptions: To ensure a steady upload, maintain a strong battery charge (or plug in your phone) and keep your screen active! Temporarily turn off your screensaver or lock screen if it normally activates quickly, as this will pause the upload progress. We will contact you with troubleshooting instructions if we notice your upload has stalled.
  • Resume Uploads: If you notice the app closed during upload, simply reopen the app and it will resume automatically.

Website Users:

  • Resume uploads: If upload is interrupted, reselect all files; the system will skip the duplicates
  • For slow uploads: Try closing out other windows that may be draining your memory; limited browser memory will affect speed. Refresh and try uploading in smaller batches
  • Cloud Storage/Shared Albums on Computer: Download files to a folder on your desktop first for easy uploading access
  • Best browsers: Chrome and Safari are recommended
What works best for uploading files from the Cloud or Shared Albums?

If you are uploading on a computer and your files are in a cloud storage platform (like iCloud, Google Photos, or in a shared album) - create a folder on your desktop and save a copy of the files (that you want to upload to URLIFE) to the desktop folder first. Then, when you get to the upload prompt on our website, you will easily be able to select the folder of files from your desktop.

If you are uploading from a Shared Folder on the iPhone App, certain files may be blocked from upload based on the original owner’s access/permission settings.

Can I upload from a phone and computer?

Absolutely! If your content is in multiple places, you can start your project on your phone and save it. Then sign into your account using the website on your computer (or another phone) and continue uploading additional content to the same project. Note: Don’t forget to keep the file limit for your package in mind when selecting content to upload.

Expected Completion Time

How long does it take to submit my project?

Submitting your project is a quick and easy process! Upload time will vary depending on how many files you select, how strong your Wi-Fi signal is, and how much memory you have available to process files. If you have a lot of windows (or apps) open, it may slow the process, consider closing a few items to help speed things up.

How long does it take to receive my movie?

Once everyone uploads their content, and the Project Host has a Producer call to discuss the highlights of the trip, we will write a script, curate your content to select the best files to support your storyline, and then send everything over to the editor. You should see a first look approximately 12–15 business days from the producer call. The Project Host will receive an email notification when it is ready for review. If there are any comments/revisions that need to be made, you’ll see a revised version within 5 business days.

How do I receive my movie?

When your movie is ready, you’ll receive an email letting you know it is ready for review. In the email, there will be a link to review the video which will be hosted in your URLIFE account. You can provide feedback through our app’s questionnaire or via a direct call with your Producer. Once you approve the final version, you can download and share it with friends and family immediately. The file will be too large to email or text directly, so we recommend saving the file to whatever Cloud storage you use as backup (iCloud, Google Photos, etc.) and share via link.

What if I don’t like my movie?

As a boutique company, URLIFE Media's goal is to ensure you end up with a video keepsake that you will treasure. That is why, in lieu of refunds, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. This means we’ll keep making revisions until you absolutely love your video!

We also understand that plans can change. If your trip is canceled, you can apply your video package to a future adventure (Evermore or any other similar trip). If you decide not to use your URLIFE Video Package, we can process a refund within 30 days of purchase, minus applicable non-refundable fees.

Who owns the final files and movie?

Your photos, videos, and final movie are owned by YOU. Sharing your digital content is 100% at your discretion.
